All TC/American Dipping Cranes are custom cranes designed and manufactured in close coordination with the end user to meet their exact requirements. Dipping cranes may handle small parts mounted on racks, or large assemblies weighing several tons. A specially designed lift beam or carriage is provided to mate with the customer’s parts rack or component carrier.
Custom Cranes’ Single or Several Parts Racks Move Sequentially or Progressively
A Dipping Crane may move a single parts rack sequentially through a series of tanks, or a single custom crane (or multiple custom cranes) may be programmed to move several parts racks progressively through a series of tanks. Depending upon the “recipe” for a process, the Dipping Crane or Cranes set a rack into a tank and then reposition to move other racks from their current position to the next tank in the sequence.
Manually Controlled or Fully Automated Specialty Cranes
Dipping Crane operation may be manually controlled for simpler processes and few tank locations or, for more complex and high cycle processes, the custom cranes’ operation may be fully automated, with full communication between all cranes, tanks, or input/output locations and a host inventory control computer.

Truss Cranes
TC/American Truss Cranes may be the solution for an application that cannot be met with a multiple-runway crane or a special long span single girder crane. Truss cranes provide the ability to span up to and over 100 feet minimizing headroom. Our Truss Cranes are specialty cranes custom designed by TC/American to the particular application.
A pair of parallel structural trusses with cross-members forms a rigid crane structure. Elevated within the trusses, and supported by the trusses, is a patented track bridge beam to support a hoist and carrier. Truss cranes may be designed with single or double bridge beams. Since the trusses carry the load, the bridge beam rail size can be minimized. In many cases the hoist high hook elevation is above the bottom chord of the trusses.
